For me, everything starts with self-awareness.
Once you know ‘who you are,’ and what you stand for, you can project this into everything you do – in my business coaching and mentoring sessions, most of the time I am dealing with people and companies who cannot articulate their message and when I dig deeper (as I always do), I find that the problem is often the fact that the owner of the business doesn’t have a clear idea of who they are and what they want to achieve and do in life.
This is why there is usually such a disconnect between the business message and the personality of the owner.
In the staffing and recruiting world there is a saying:
“You hire people for what they know and fire them for who they are.”
Conduct a self-awareness audit and you will see through what I put on the site how I started and evolved the process myself.
Once you know who you are and what you stand for, you can do anything you want to simply because you have uncovered or discovered the ‘true you.’
As a former door-to-door salesperson, who worked their way up to selling into the Boardrooms of some of the worlds leading companies I always had my greatest successes when I simply allowed myself to be me and equally as the CEO of my own companies and on the receiving end of hundreds of sales pitches, interviewing hundreds of candidates for roles within my own company and for clients, I was always drawn to those who came across in a sincere manner and were unafraid to be themselves.
Remember the following:
“The greatest enterprise of all is the enterprise of you and the greatest investment you can make is an investment in yourself.”
